The men’s ministry at Immanuel includes a weekly Wednesday morning Bible study, frequent Saturday morning breakfasts, an annual weekend retreat, and other times of fellowship.
The women’s ministry is formed around five components—fellowship, outreach, prayer, missions, and discipleship. Weekly women’s Bible studies are offered in the morning and evening. Prayer opportunities abound. Ladies get together every few months for a work day to prepare items for missionaries. And, we host events for fun times of fellowship and inviting friends too!
College & Career
Immanuel is blessed to be located just a few miles from Messiah College, and we love having Messiah students in our congregation! Additionally, we have other young adults and recent college graduates who enjoy being a part of this ministry.
Immanuel has a thriving ministry for folks in their retirement years. This group—called the 3Rs (standing for Retired, Redeemed, and Rejoicing) – takes in local plays and performances, tours museums, enjoys lunches together, and generally seem to have lots of fun!
At Immanuel we call our small group ministry Connections because we know that relationships are deepened when people get together regularly to share their life journey while reading and studying Scripture together. Connection groups are formed around various commonalities, including geography, stage of life (i.e. young married couples, retired folks), or a particular topic (i.e. prayer, parenting).
For years Immanuel has fielded a softball team in the summer months. These guys have a great time playing together as they take on opponents from other local churches at area softball fields. The championship trophy has even resided at Immanuel in recent years!
